Meet Dr. Abdurezak Ali Mohammed

Dr. Abdurezak Ali Mohammed is one of Ethiopia's leading plastic, reconstructive, and microsurgeons, recognized for combining advanced surgical expertise with compassionate, individualized patient care. With over a decade of experience, he has helped thousands of patients restore function, confidence, and quality of life through state-of-the-art reconstructive and aesthetic procedures.

As the Head of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at ALERT Comprehensive Specialized Hospital and an Adjunct Professor at Addis Ababa University, Dr. Abdurezak is at the forefront of surgical innovation, education, and patient care in Ethiopia. He is also the pioneer of Ethiopia's first dedicated microsurgery service, introducing complex free flap reconstruction for patients with traumatic injuries, cancer defects, congenital conditions, and other challenging reconstructive needs.

Dr. Abdurezak graduated as the Gold Medalist and top-performing Fellow of the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA). He further refined his skills through advanced fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery at E-Da Hospital in Taiwan and has completed additional international training in craniofacial surgery, maxillofacial surgery, and microsurgical reconstruction.

His practice offers comprehensive care across reconstructive and selected aesthetic procedures, including facial reconstruction, breast reconstruction, body contouring after massive weight loss, scar revision, hand surgery, cleft lip and palate surgery, burn reconstruction, trauma reconstruction, and complex microsurgery. Every treatment plan is carefully tailored to the patient's goals, combining meticulous surgical technique with a commitment to achieving natural, functional, and aesthetically pleasing results.
